This week we are celebrating the Army's 248th Birthday! On June 14th, 1775 the Army was formed consisting of volunteer Soldiers with roots to the Continental Army. On June 6th, the world will commemorate the 77th Anniversary of D-Day. In 1984, The United States Army Field Band traveled to Europe and had the honor of performing for a number of occasions on the 40th anniversary. The Soldiers’ Chorus performed several engagements near Paris, including a performance at the American Cemetery in Suresnes, while the band spent June 6th on the beaches of Normandy.
