The rally for voting rights is going down today in Montgomery in response to attacks on Black representation and political power. These are the seats that give Black communities a direct say in how schools fund and teach our children, how police engage with our neighborhoods, which communities receive hospitals, playgrounds, and public investment — and whose concerns elected officials actually answer to.
