CWC recently admitted a single California Quail chick. We regularly put mirrors in the enclosures of herd animals as it gives them the illusion of not being alone. Quail are very social and often move in large groups called Coveys, these groups can have up to 75 quail at one time. Luckily, a Mountain Quail was admitted shortly after the California Quail, so they can be raised together. | California Wildlife Center
