Three lawsuits have been filed after a gas explosion and fire last week at a Des Plaines condo building​.

It is unknown at this time what caused the explosion.

A fire broke out at Chalmette Refining Friday afternoon after residents reported hearing a large explosion, according to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office. The fire was under control as of around 2 p.m., and no injuries were reported, John Rahaim, director of St. Bernard Homeland Security, said.
