According to Japanese newspaper Nikkei, Nintendo is ending production on the Wii U at the end of this year.

Nintendo's first quarter financials reveal a mixed bag of news for the Wii U. Lifetime sales for the console edged past the 10 million mark. But sales fell year-over-year.
